What Signage Do I Need At My Wedding?

What Signage Do I Need At My Wedding?

Weddings signs are a great way to give information to your wedding guests to help them have the best possible day. They're also a great opportunity to add a personal touch to your big day and make it that bit more memorable for all involved.

Here at Paper Bloom we make a wide range of wedding signs and decals and stickers for wedding signs. Quotes, nicknames and places are all fantastic ways to make your wedding signs unique.

Let’s take a look at the most commonly used wedding signs to give you a little inspiration for your wedding.

Welcome sign

Wedding Welcome Sign

Probably the most important wedding sign and the one you immediately think of when it comes to your signage. The welcome sign lets your guests know they've arrived at the right location and sets the tone for the rest of the day. It's also a great way to introduce a hashtag if you're planning on letting guests take photos for social media (this is a great way to look back after the day).

Order of the day/Order of service

Order Of The Day Sign

This sign lets your guests know what is happening and when. This is a useful sign particularly if you're on a strict timeline at your venue but it's also a great way to make sure that your wedding guests don't miss any of the entertainment or key moments.

Seating Plan

Seating Plan Sign

Without doubt one of the most stressful parts of organising a wedding is getting the seating plan arranged. You want to make sure everyone is happy and gets on with the other guests they'll be sitting with. The seating plan sign is a great way to show this and make everyone aware of where they need to be. This sign is also a great opportunity to add the personal touch by including custom table names. Locations of places you have visited together as a couple are a popular choice here but you can get creative too, recently we had one customer order a seating plan where every table was named after a footballer.

Cards and gifts

This sign, often smaller than the larger signs listed above lets your guests know where to leave wedding gifts and cards upon arrival.

Directional signs

Directional Wedding Sign

Let's face it, a lot of wedding venues have huge layouts and it can get quite confusing for guests to know where they're going (particularly if they'd had a couple of drinks). These signs are useful for finding car parks, ceremony location and where the post wedding celebrations will be taking place. Directional signs are really useful for woodland and outdoor weddings.

Special signs

These signs are used for messaging which is special to your event. Examples include asking guests not to take photos or to switch their phones off for the ceremony. Special signs have recently been used to display Covid-19 related rules to help guests remember social distancing rules.

Mr and Mrs signs

These are great to use for the evening celebrations add your newly married name to really personalise it.

Menu signs

This one really needs no explanation, these are used to let your guests know the details for the wedding menu.

There’s no limit to what you can use wedding signs for and they’re a great opportunity to get a little creative. We’d really encourage you to make your signs personal and include little messages and notes that really mean something to you and your guests.

Finally, wedding signage doesn't need to break the bank. You can even make your own DIY wedding signs.
