The Ultimate Wedding Checklist
Weddings are incredibly difficult to plan. Wouldn't it be easier if you had a checklist/planner that you could just cross items off?
Well, that's exactly what I've made. A simple one-page printable wedding checklist template in PDF format which details everything you need to get sorted for the big day. Whether you’re going big budget or small, the checklist will work for you.
The checklist is split into times, 12+ months to go, 9 months go, 3 months to go, 1 month to go and one week to go. I've kept it simple and on a single page so that you can print a copy out and stick it on the wall and check things off as you complete them.
If your wedding is on a very tight budget and you’re keeping things simple, you can simply cross off items that you don’t need to worry about.
12+ Months To Go
It may seem like you have plenty of time with over a year until your wedding but you need to be on top of the big things here, it's all about making sure you have the venues booked as early as possible and setting a budget for the big day. Although it isn't essential, at this stage you might want to start thinking about the guest list. You should start getting in touch with photographers (read our guide on choosing a wedding photographer), caterers, entertainers, transport and don’t forget about your honeymoon too.
9 Months To Go
With 9 months to go now is the time to start getting those wedding invitations sorted out. You should start thinking about the wedding cake, shoes, accessories and hair and makeup. This is the point where the wedding party takes focus, bridesmaids dresses, suits and outfits for ushers, flower girls and page boys need to be considered.
3 Months To Go
Only three months left now and it’s time to start focusing on some of the finer details. Rings, dress adjustments, and music are the things that you should be sorting at this stage. Hen and stag parties need to be organised and don’t forget to send those wedding invitations out!
1 Month To Go
Just 4 weeks left. You should be arranging a final dress fitting at this point and reconfirming all of your arrangements. Seating plans are always subject to change but this is a great point to confirm that everyone is still attending. You’ll want to arrange the wedding rehearsal and make sure that your speeches are written.
1 Week To Go
All the hard work is now complete, it’s easy to forget about the honeymoon. Get your bags packed and ready for the greatest holiday of your life. You’ll need some currency so make sure you have that ordered ready to be collected. This is also the point where you’ll be having pre-wedding beauty treatments before the big day.
Simply download, print, and stick it somewhere you’ll see it every day. The kitchen is a good idea as you'll typically spend a lot of time in the kitchen.
